Land Rover
Rover is a British car company launched in 1948 making them the second oldest four-wheel-drive car brand in the world after Jeep. It is said that it was inspired by an American World War II Jeep that Maurice Wilks used one summer at his holiday home in Wales. The first Land Rover prototype, later nicknamed “Centre Steer”, was built on a Jeep chassis.
Model-by-model road accident statistics from the UK Department of Transport show that the Land Rover Defender is one of the safest cars on British roads today. Safety scores showed that the mid-sized SUV is even much safer than most passenger cars and MPVs.
