Venturi

The first Venturi was produced in 1984. The goal was to present the only “Grand Tourisme” French car capable of competing with the French Bugatti and Italian Ferrari. Over their 20 years of production almost 750 cars were made.

From the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, they built mid-engine coupes and roadsters with turbocharged PRV engines and Renault gearboxes. They then built the limited edition 400 GTR which was built for racing and later used in the 24 Hour Le Mans racing series winning many races and awards.

In 2001, millionaire Gildo Pallanca Pastor bought the company and decided to focus on electric-powered engines, leading to the first Fetish model. More recent models are the Eclectric, the world’s first Solar-Electric hybrid car. There has been around 65 orders for the new models but only 30 have been delivered as of 2011.
